The Planning Board's role is to guide the orderly growth and development of the County through the approval of development plans, as well as  recommendations to the County Council and Zoning Board on all matters relating to planning and zoning, including the County's General Development Plan, zoning map amendments and zoning regulation amendments.

Please note the deadline for registration for virtual participation is 1 business day, no later than 7:00 pm, before the scheduled meeting.

The Planning Board will hold a virtual worksession to discuss proposed changes to its Rules of Procedure.

There will be no public comment or testimony during the worksession. The worksession will provide the Board an opportunity to review and discuss the proposed changes and determine whether any additional revisions are needed.

Once the Board has finalized the proposed changes, a public hearing date will be scheduled and advertised at least 30 days in advance. This 30-day notice period will provide the public with adequate time to review the proposed changes prior to the hearing.

The public will have an opportunity to provide testimony on the proposed changes at the public hearing.
