The Howard County Police Department is committed to informing the community and the news media of events within the public domain in a timely manner. The Office of Public Affairs issues news releases, responds to media inquiries, manages social media, and produces a daily crime bulletin.

News releases are issued for significant events and cases. The daily crime bulletin is produced each weekday when county offices are open and includes the initial reporting of various crimes such as robberies, burglaries, assaults, vehicle thefts, and theft from vehicles. It is not inclusive of all police activity in a day.

Police responded for a report of an altercation in which an adult male victim was cut. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. Through investigation, police identified the suspect and arrested him.

Home invasion

Columbia, 21044: 10500 block of Twin Rivers Road, June 19 3:30 a.m. 
An adult female victim reported that she was awoken by a male suspect in her home assaulting her. The suspect then fled. The victim reported that the suspect entered through an unlocked door and also stole cash. No serious injuries were reported. 
SUSPECT: black male, possibly teenage, approximately 5’8”-5’9” with a thin build wearing a windbreaker jacket and shorts

Carjacking

Columbia, 21045: 6400 block of Dobbin Road, June 18 3:08 p.m. 
Police responded for a report of a carjacking in which a male suspect entered a vehicle occupied by an adult female victim. The victim exited the vehicle and the suspect drove, eventually crashing. Police located the suspect nearby and arrested him. No one was injured. 
ARRESTED: Bryan Keith Robinson II, 29, of Glade Court in Brooklyn, charged with carjacking, robbery, and theft

Columbia, 21046: 7500 block of Monarch Mills Way, June 19 9:30-10 p.m.
An adult male victim reported that an acquaintance assaulted him and stole cash and cigarettes. No serious injuries were reported.  

Residential burglary

Columbia, 21045: 9600 block of Basket Ring Road, June 21 2:38 a.m.
A resident reported that he observed a male suspect in his apartment. The suspect then fled with a video game console. Police responded, located the suspect, and arrested him.
ARRESTED: James Wade III, 29, of Myrtle Point Road in California, Md., charged with burglary and theft
