Howard County police are investigating a fatal collision in Elkridge on Oct. 6 in which one person was killed.
At approximately 8:51 p.m., a 2004 Honda Accord was traveling south on Washington Boulevard (Route 1) approaching Troy Hill Drive when, for an unknown reason, it crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a 2017 Volvo semi truck head-on. The driver and sole occupant of the Honda, an adult male, was transported to Saint Agnes Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Volvo was uninjured.
The investigation is ongoing. Washington Boulevard in the area of Troy Hill Drive was closed for approximately 3.5 hours.
