The American Rescue Plan will deliver $350 billion to state, local and tribal governments to aid in recovery from the COVID-19 emergency. Howard County has received $63.3 million as part of the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) program.

These funds may be used for four broad categories of eligible activities, including:
- To respond to the COVID-19 emergency or its negative economic impacts;
- To assist workers performing essential work during the COVID-19 emergency;
- For the provision of government services impacted by reduction in revenue due to the COVID-19 emergency; and
- To make investments in water, sewer or broadband infrastructure.
To better understand the ongoing needs of residents and businesses, and as part of the process of determine the best way to use these funds to assist in recovery and invest in the future, we are seeking input from those who live and work within the County.
