Howard County police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision in Ellicott City on Sept. 18 in which one person was killed.
At approximately 9:48 p.m., a 2013 Nissan Juke was traveling north on Ilchester Road between Jeans Way and Bonnie Branch Road when it left the roadway for an unknown reason and struck a tree. The driver and sole occupant, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing. Ilchester Road was closed for approximately 2.5 hours in the area of the collision.
