Howard County Department of Public Works is composed of the Director's Office, Bureau of Engineering, Bureau of Environmental Services, Bureau of Facilities, Bureau of Highways and Bureau of Utilities.
The Director's Office provides leadership and coordination among the Bureaus to advance the quality of life for our community by providing exceptional level of public service. Employees coordinate the daily functions, customer service, the capital improvement program and real estate services.

Building complex will be inaccessible to the public on Friday, March 12,
2021. County drop-boxes will not be available to receive deliveries on
that day. Any document submissions that are due on March 12
th may be submitted on Monday, March 15th.
Non-emergency County offices and
facilities remain closed to the public until further notice. Operations
continue through teleworking by eligible employees.
