ELLICOTT CITY, MD – The Howard County Department of Public Works’ (DPW) Stormwater Management Division will hold a community outreach meeting on Monday, February 23rd, at 6:30 p.m. in the Marvin Thomas Room of the Howard County Library System’s (HCLS) East Columbia Branch, to discuss a project to repair the Woodcrest Drive Pond 1523 located near 6224 Woodcrest Drive in Ellicott City.
The proposed project includes the replacement of the existing principal spillway pipe and riser structure with a new concrete principal spillway pipe and riser. The project is scheduled to commence construction in September 2026 and weather permitting, is expected to be completed by May 2027.
The informal meeting will include a PowerPoint presentation of the proposed repairs, followed by a question-and-answer session. County staff and the project’s design consultant will be on hand to answer any questions and gather public comments.

This project is funded through the Watershed Protection and Restoration Fee.
