ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County Department of Public Works’ (DPW) Stormwater Management Division will hold a community outreach meeting on Wednesday, February 25th, at 6:00 p.m. in the Martin Thomas Room of Howard County Library System’s (HCLS) East Columbia Branch, to discuss a project to repair the Seneca Farm Road stormwater pond located near 6600 Seneca Farm Road in Columbia.
The proposed project will include the replacement of the existing principal spillway pipe and riser structure with a new concrete spillway and riser. The project is scheduled to commence construction in fall of 2026 and weather permitting, is expected to be completed by spring 2027.
The informal meeting will include a presentation of the proposed repairs, followed by a question-and-answer discussion. County staff and the project’s design consultant will be on hand to answer any questions and gather public comments.

This project is funded through the Watershed Protection and Restoration Fee.
