The open enrollment period for the Moderate Income Housing Unit Program (MIHU) begins on October 1, 2020. Applications for HOMEOWNERSHIP will be accepted through 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2020.
Due to COVID-19 safety precautions, MIHU Homeownership Information workshops scheduled during October’s open enrollment period are CANCELLED. For your convenience we have included a PowerPoint presentation and frequently asked questions.

MIHU applications will only be accepted online and by mail. Applications can be mailed to: Howard County Department of Housing and Community Development

For all application submissions, please be prepared to submit or upload the following supporting documentation for each working adult in the household:
§ 3 most recent consecutive paystubs or benefits statements covering at least 30 days
§ 2019 W-2
§ 2018 or 2019 Tax returns (all pages and schedules)
§ Other income documentation and/or college transcripts for non-working adults
§ 2 consecutive bank statements for Checking and Savings Accounts**
**Do not include 401K, 403B, Thrift Savings or other retirement savings account statements
§ Zero Income Affidavit- for all non-working applicants over the age of 18.
