When you are within one year of retirement from the Howard County Retirement Plan or the Howard County Police and Fire Employees' Retirement Plan, please contact a member of our retirement team in the Office of Human Resources to request an estimate of your monthly benefits. Estimates will be completed as soon as administratively possible, but please allow for at least 4-6 weeks.
Future retirees should request a meeting with one of our team members 30 to 60 days in advance of your retirement date to discuss what you can expect as you transition into retirement. Please review the forms below that will need to be completed to begin receiving your retirement benefits.
