The safety of our drivers and passengers on local roadways will always be a priority of the Howard County Police. HCPD now offers residents the opportunity to report concerning traffic situations throughout the county. Each report will be reviewed by a Traffic Enforcement Section officer to determine next steps.

What happens after I submit a concern?

Respondents will receive a response within five business days of receiving a reoccurring traffic violation form. For isolated violations, forms will be reviewed and a letter will be sent to the offending vehicle’s owner as possible and appropriate.

What roadways do not fall under HCPD's jurisdiction?

The following highways are excluded because they fall under the jurisdiction of the Maryland State Police: 

  • Interstate 70 
  • Interstate 95
