Many areas of the Gary J. Arthur Community Center are available for rent during operating hours. Rental areas can be used for parties, special events, business meetings, and other activities. All applicants must be at least 21 years of age, and a Facility Rental Request Form is required to check for availability. All requests are reviewed on a first come, first serve basis. A Rental Resource Guide is available for Download to provide additional information or call the Center Front Desk at 410-313-4840. The center is open daily from 7am-9pm Monday-Saturday and 9am-6pm on Sundays, staff are able to provide a tour of the building and provide additional information about the specific amenities GJACC has to offer.
The Haymeadow room is a small (500sf) room conveniently located to the main lobby, ideal for small birthday parties, meetings or breakout space for larger events. The room is light filled with multiple windows and is equipped with wall mounted dry erase board and electric projector screen.
The Lisbon room is the ideal room for small meetings needing privacy and projector use. Equipped with dry erase board, projection screen, oversized wall mounted whiteboard. Ideal for meetings and event breakout room.
The Brighton room is a kid-friendly large space with multiple wall sized windows, easy access to the playground, and reading/entertainer bench. Two countertop areas with sinks and refrigerator available along with both private youth and adult bathroom within the room. Youth sized furniture available. Ideal for children’s birthday parties & celebrations.

• Configurable for two in-floor volleyball courts or two full-court basketball games
• Configurable for four half-court basketball games (total eight hoops available)
• Retractable ceiling dividers allow for a large open space or partitioned spaces

Let us host your next occasion and create a memorable experience! Packages offer a variety of themes to decorate your party room. All party packages include table cloths, a center piece, plates, napkins, cups and eating utensils for 20 guests, fees applied for additional guests. A security deposit is required at the time the rental reservation is made. The security deposit will be refunded after the event provided there are no violations of the Rental Agreement. At the conclusion of the rental, a walk through will be performed with the organizer.
Full payment of the rental fee is due within one (1) month of the event in order to finalize the Rental Agreement. If request is made with less than one (1) month before the event, full payment is due at the time of reservation. The Rental Agreement outlines the rental terms, policies, procedures, and fees. For larger events that require a significant payment, scheduled payments may be arranged with the Community Center Director.
General Setup & Cleanup
Your rental reservation must include your setup and cleanup time. The organizer is responsible for removal of all decorations and trash. The Gary J. Arthur Community Center will provide general setup of all rental events; however, if the setup or breakdown requires additional staff to be scheduled, the rental organizer will be responsible for the cost. The organizer is required to be on site during the rental. If additional equipment is needed for the rental event (tables, chairs, audio-visual, etc.) the rental organizer is responsible for making arrangements for rental of these items once they have been approved by facility management.
The Gary J. Arthur Community Center periodically offers fitness and nutrition workshops, health and wellness events, and orientations for new equipment. Each 30 minute session is customized to fit your individual needs and abilities. Private training sessions are one participant to one trainer; semi-private sessions are up to three participants to one trainer. Sessions are non-transferrable. Registration for sessions is first-come, first-served. All sessions must be scheduled at the time of registration.
