Elevated Blood Lead Program

The Health Department is alerted by the State of Maryland of those children who have high levels of lead in their blood. Usually this information comes after a routine visit to to the pediatrician where regular testing has occured.

Once the Health Department is notified, we will contact the family and pediatrician to work together to provide case management and resources for children from birth to 6 years old.
