The St. Florian's Brigade will hold a two-day camp for
applicants who are interested in learning more about the fire service and what
it takes to become a firefighter. The 1st Alarm Fire Camp will be held at the James N. Robey Public Safety Training Center in Marriottsville in summer 2020. This fun
and exciting weekend will focus on learning about what it takes to be a
firefighter, team building, a burn demo, CPR training, and much more!
Additionally, the program empowers campers with life skills and professional guidance
that encourages them to pursue a career in public safety.
Applications for 2020 will be uploaded next year. It
is a great opportunity for firefighters and paramedics to help campers build a
sense of teamwork and responsibility. The 1st Alarm Fire Camp will take place
at the James N. Robey Public Safety Training Center,
located at 2200 Scott Wheeler Dr. Marriottsville, MD 21104.

If your child is selected to attend, there will be two
parent orientation meetings, a parent or guardian MUST attend one of the
meetings in 2020. You must only attend one. Both meetings will take place at the PSTC. **
Applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. There is a
preference for first timers and Howard County residents. Limited to 45 spots. **
