BEGINNING JUNE 14, 2021 - Howard County residents impacted by COVID-19 pandemic may be eligible for assistance to pay up to 15 months of past due rent and utility bills to prevent eviction. Due to limited funding, homeowners may be eligible for mortgage assistance up to 12 months. Restrictions may apply.

Howard County residents may contact one of the participating providers below to complete an application for assistance to pay past due utility bills and rent payments to prevent eviction. Maximum assistance per household is 15 months of rent and utility expenses. Residents that previously received rental assistance are eligible to apply for additional assistance. Preliminary application criteria:
1. Applicant must be a Howard County resident and provide proof of home address.
2. Applicant must provide evidence of loss of income due to COVID-related job loss, reduction in hours and/or medical illness.
Maximum household income limits up to 80% of HUD area median income.
