Howard County Government Closings for New Year’s Day Holiday on January 1st
Howard County Government offices and more will be closed on Thursday, January 1st in observance of the New Year's Day holiday. As there will be no Thursday curbside collections on the 1st, the County's holiday "slide" schedule will also be in effect at the end of the holiday week.
Willowood Pond Repair Project to Begin
A Howard County construction project to repair the Willowood Pond stormwater management facility located behind 6347 to 6333 Arbor Way in Elkridge, is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, January 5, 2026. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by mid to late August 2026.
