The County's Department of Public Works will hold a community outreach meeting on Thursday, June 5th, to discuss a project to replace the Old Montgomery Road bridge over the Lake Elkhorn Branch near 8910 Old Montgomery Road in Columbia.

Guilford Road was closed at Mission Road for approximately four hours.

Funding will also provide professional development and support to child welfare caseworkers at the Maryland Department of Human Services' Howard County Department of Social Services. 

Ball’s legislation will provide up to $14.5 million in additional funding to the Howard County Public School System in the Fiscal Year 2026 budget.
