ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County Executive Calvin Ball will join Howard County employees to illuminate the George Howard Building in Ellicott City with purple lighting Friday in support of the Baltimore Ravens as they begin their playoff run this weekend.

“The Baltimore Ravens have had a historic season, and here in Howard County we’re ready to support them all the way to a Super Bowl championship,” said Howard County Executive Ball.  “We have the most passionate fans, and I am excited to light up the George Howard Building in purple to bring some extra luck to the Ravens during the playoffs.”

The George Howard Building will be lit purple every evening beginning at dusk until the Ravens playoff run comes to an end. County Executive Ball will also be encouraging Howard County employees to participate in “Purple Fridays” by wearing Ravens apparel during the playoffs and share their spirit with the hashtag #HoCoFlock.
