The Mid-Maryland Workforce Development Board
The Mid-Maryland Workforce Development Board (WDB) is comprised of representatives and leaders from local area businesses in Carroll and Howard counties in conjunction with the areas’ partners. The WDB’s primary responsibility is to provide guidance, and oversight to the local workforce development system through the Howard County Office of Workforce Development and Carroll County Business and Employment Resource Center (BERC). The board's mission in partnership with the local elected officials in Carroll and Howard counties, is to provide leadership in strengthening a responsive and effective workforce development system. Board Information

The Mid-Maryland Workforce Development Board (WDB) typically meets on a quarterly basis.  Meetings are usually held on the 3rd Wednesday of the first month of each quarter; however, the board my convene as often as local need dictates.  Most meeting are held at the Gary J. Arthur Community Center in Cooksville, MD.  Occasionally they are held at an alternate location.  Please contact our office prior to the meeting to confirm the location.

Inclement weather policy: In the event Howard or Carroll County Schools are closed or delayed, the WDB meeting will be CANCELLED.
