Howard County Government Closings for Christmas Day Holiday on December 25th
Howard County Government offices and more will be closed on Thursday, December 25th in observance of the Christmas holiday. As there will be no Thursday curbside collections on the 25th, the County's holiday "slide" schedule will also be in effect at the end of the holiday week.

CSX to Begin Maintenance at Marriottsville Road Railroad Crossing
CSX Transportation will begin maintenance on the railroad crossing at Marriottsville Road and Drive Road in Marriottsville on Saturday, January 17th, that will result in the railroad crossing being closed. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by Tuesday, January 20th.

Howard County Department of Public Works to Host Community Outreach Meeting on Cedar Lane Park Stream Stabilization Project
The Howard County Department of Public Works Bureau of Environmental Services’ Stormwater Management Division, in coordination with the County’s Department of Recreation & Parks, will hold a community outreach meeting on Wednesday, January 21st, to discuss a project to stabilize an eroded section of the stream channel in Cedar Lane Park – West near Field 4 in Columbia.
Millcreek Court Underground Fire Suppression Tank Project to Begin in Clarksville
A Howard County construction project to install a 30,000-gallon fire suppression tank at the intersection of Mill Creek Court and Haviland Mill Road in Clarksville, is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, January 26th. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by mid-March.
