ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County construction project to install a 30,000-gallon fire suppression tank at Lallybroch Lane, just north of its intersection with Lime Kiln Road in Fulton, is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, May 4th. The project will include a 60-foot-long by 40-foot-wide by 15-foot-high construction trench excavation to place the tank underground, with a concrete pad installed on top. The tank will enhance fire protection for the surrounding community as it is not covered by the County’s water distribution system. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late May 2026.

Signs have been posted to alert motorists and residents of the construction, which will take place Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The project is not expected to impact vehicular traffic in the area.
