An initiative that will be housed in the County’s Office of Consumer Protection, the Financial Empowerment Center will offer residents free, one-on-one financial counseling.

Howard County Department of Public Works’ (DPW) Bureau of Environmental Services’ Stormwater Management Division will hold a community outreach meeting on Monday, July 13th, to present plans to repair an existing stormwater management facility located at DPW’s Highways Shop Maintenance Facility in Dayton.

A Howard County construction project to replace a failed storm drain culvert near 4747 Bonnie Branch Road in Ellicott City, is expected to begin on or about the week of Monday, July 13th. Signs have been posted to alert motorists and residents of the work, as Bonnie Branch Road from Twin Stream Drive to College Avenue will be closed to through traffic during the duration of the project. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by early August 2026.

Howard County Executive Calvin Ball today announced the signing of the negotiated memorandum of agreement between Howard County Government and Howard County Public Dispatcher’s Association.

A Howard County construction project to install six raised intersections and one pedestrian refuge island along Cradlerock Way in Columbia, is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, July 27th. Weather permitting, Phase 1 of this eight phase capital improvement project is expected to be completed by late January 2027.
