In response to high temperatures forecast by the National Weather Service this week, the Howard County Health Department has issued a heat alert for Howard County. The alert has been issued for Monday, July 8 through Thursday, July 11, daily, from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with high temperatures expected to be in the mid-to-high 90s.

Huntington Pressure Reduction Valve Vault Improvement Project to Begin
A Howard County capital project to replace the existing Pressure Reduction Valve near the intersection of Savage Guilford Road and Vollmerhausen Road in Savage, is expected to begin on or about Monday, July 15th. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late September 2024.
