Rogers Avenue Storm Drain Improvement Project to Begin
A Howard County construction project to improve a storm drain along Rogers Avenue from Frederick Road to Rusty Rim in Ellicott City is scheduled to begin on or about today, September 30. Several storm drain inlets will be replaced with larger inlets and new inlets will be added to improve the efficiency of the existing storm drain system. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late December.

Howard County Executive Calvin Ball helped break ground on the nation’s largest Busboys & Poets, the first in the Baltimore region. The Washington, DC-based restaurant, bookstore and event space will construct 10,700-square-foot, two-story location in the Merriweather District of Downtown Columbia. Busboys & Poets currently has seven locations across the Washington Metropolitan area and is a cultural hub for artists and activists, as well as a highly rated restaurant.
