Howard County Executive Calvin Ball today signed an Executive Order creating an Opioid Collaborative Community Council to assist in determining priorities for how the County should use funds received through a National Settlement Agreement with opioid manufacturers and any future settlements.

A Howard County construction project to replace the existing eight-inch water main along Old Columbia Pike from Toll House Road to Roussey Lane in Ellicott City, is expected to begin on or about Monday, February 27th.

Howard County Executive Calvin Ball today announced that due to steps taken by the County’s Department of Public Works’ Bureau of Utilities to reduce the number of sanitary sewer overflows throughout the county, the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) has terminated its Sewer Consent Decree with the County.
