ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County Executive Calvin Ball will hold a community meeting tonight to solicit public input on Phase 2 of his Ellicott City Safe and Sound plan. To make the process transparent and community-driven, Ball presented five, multi-year flood mitigation options earlier this month, with varying costs and projected impacts on flood depths. This community meeting will give residents the opportunity to weigh in on the options and help Ball make a final decision. Residents can also submit comments online at https://www.ecsafeandsound.org/flood-mitigation-options or via email at [email protected].

Phase 2 also includes building acquisition and action on Main Street, public access points during a flood emergency, a capital projects tracker for the public, and resuming the Ellicott City Watershed Master Plan. More details can be found here.
