ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County Executive Calvin Ball will deliver the inaugural Howard County “State of Business” address at the Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City. This event, hosted by the Howard County Chamber of Commerce, will provide over 500 attendees the opportunity to hear direct updates on the County's fiscal and economic status. The Howard County Executive provides guests with an overview of the previous year's accomplishments and sheds light on the year-to-come goals and priorities important to the Howard County business community and the county’s economic health. Formerly known as the “State of the County” speech, County Executive Ball changed this ticketed event with the Chamber of Commerce to focus specifically on economic issues and will be hosting the “2020 State of the County” speech later this fall that will be open and free to the general public.
“Throughout our first year in office, we've worked toward creating a strong and prosperous business community," said Ball. "I'm excited to speak directly to many of these companies, discuss what we've accomplished and highlight the many more opportunities that lay before us to ensure we're building a better County for all."
