Robinson Reopening Updates

We have missed you and are excited to begin reopening! During the closure we have been actively preparing to open and have adjusted our operations and amenities. We have trained staff, added signage, temporarily closed high touch areas, and cleaned and moved equipment and furniture to promote physical distancing.

Our gates and grounds are open again and we welcome you to come walk the trails, play at the Nature Place or enjoy the gardens. Please note that our gates will be open Wednesday – Saturday between 9am and 5pm and on Sunday between Noon and 5pm.

The Nature Center is scheduled to reopen on the weekends for visitors beginning Saturday, July 11. During the week, the Center will be hosting programs and will not be open for visitors. We understand that this affects your membership, and as the Nature Center works to reopen, your membership will remain frozen until further notice. Additionally, since certain areas of the Center are currently not accessible admission has been temporarily reduced to $2.00 per person.

Closures and Changes:

  • Nature Center traffic will be one way. All public guests must enter through the front doors. Guests that only need to speak with the front desk or shop the gift shop should exit through the green roof door. All other guests will exit through the mezzanine level. Our front desk will be happy to point you in the right direction!
  • All books, puppets and play objects have been removed from the Discovery Room. We invite visitors to walk through and see our live animals but ask that children not stay and play in the room.
  • The View Space and Backyard Viewing areas of the Center are currently closed.
  • Nature Place and trails remain open to the public. Please also be aware that the wooden blocks and kitchen materials from the mud kitchen area of Nature Place have been removed.
  • Seating areas in the Legacy Room and throughout the mezzanine level of the Center have been removed.
  • Bathrooms and refillable water bottle stations are available. Water fountains have been turned off.

Guest Expectations:

Visitors that do not meet the facilities expectations may be asked to leave.

  • Please stay home if you have a fever (100.4 or above) or are experiencing symptoms of illness.
  • Upon entering the building, you must complete a health screening.
  • Adhere to all physical distancing guidelines and posted signage.
  • All guests are required to wear a facial covering while inside the Nature Center.
  • Practice good personal hygiene (wash hands, cover sneeze/coughs).
  • If safe physical distancing cannot be achieved, guests may be asked to wait out front until building congestion has cleared.
