Movie in the Planetarium Planetarium Ages 5 + 
Show-times at 10:15am, 11:15am, 12:15pm, 1:15pm, 2:15pm and 3:15pm. Movie length approximately 30 minutes. *Limited seating. Hand stamps for seating begin 10 minutes prior to each showing at the planetarium theater door. 
 

Watch Expedition Reef to learn about the secrets of the "rainforests of the sea" as you embark on an oceanic safari through the world's most vibrant and endangered marine ecosystems. 
 

Water Experiments Show Classroom 1 Ages 5 +

Presentation length approximately 20 minutes *Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Meet snakes, turtles and more with MATTS (Mid-Atlantic Turtle & Tortoise Society) and discover how water is key to their survival. 
 

Sensory-Friendly Break Room - Backyard Viewing Room All ages, 10am-4pm 
Sometimes special events can be overwhelming for children. If your child is in need of a quiet space with activities to calm them down, please use this space. Please be respectful of the needs of all participants. 
 

Fishmobile Front Circle Drive All ages, 10am-4pm 
The Fishmobile is a mobile aquarium from Phillips Wharf Environmental Center. On-board are 13 tanks and 2 touch tanks in which you can find animals native to the Chesapeake Bay! 
 

Howard Co. Fire Department Front Circle Drive All ages, 10am-4pm 
Explore the water rescue boat, learn about the underwater search and rescue robot, and get sprayed by the water hose at 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm and 3:30pm.

Ever wonder what it's like to go through a car wash without the car? Cool off by walking through the mist tent "car wash."

Creek Treasure Hunt - Skunk Cabbage Creek Bridge Ages 2-5, 10am-4pm 
Help us find the golden rocks down at the creek and return them to their treasure chest. This river alternative is great for younger visitors. 
 

Activities at the Beach Walk to beach takes approximately 10 minutes

Help us find the golden rocks down at the river and return them to their treasure chest on the beach! You can also make your own boat to float on the river out of natural materials and twine.

Come discover the tiny creatures that reside in our river and what they become once they transform into adults. We’ll provide nets and help with identification. Please wear close-toed water shoes or old sneakers that can get wet.
