This unique program intersects Black History and Conservation History. Local naturalist, Sharon Dorsey, presents an engaging workshop that uncovers the inspiring stories and contributions of African American naturalists including Holt Collier, Ray Arliner Young, Mary Wilson, and Colonel Charles Young. This program will highlight the often-overlooked legacy of these trailblazers and the vital roles they played in shaping conservation efforts throughout history. Registration is encouraged.
