ELLICOTT CITY, MD – The Howard County Department of Public Works (DPW) Stormwater Management Division will hold a community outreach meeting on Tuesday, December 16th at 6:30 p.m., in the Hockley Room at the Howard County Library System Elkridge Branch, to discuss a project to repair the Glen Cove Pond located near 6128 Lori Lane in Elkridge.

The proposed project includes the replacement of the existing principal spillway pipe and riser structure with a new concrete spillway pipe and riser, as well as the placement of riprap at the inflow pipe and pond outfall to mitigate erosion. The project is scheduled to commence construction in April 2026 and weather permitting, is expected to be completed by November 2026.

The informal meeting will include a PowerPoint presentation, followed by a question-and-answer session. County staff and the project’s design consultant will be on hand to answer any questions and gather public comments.

Those unable to attend the meeting who would like to view the plans and/or have questions, should contact Michele Monde with DPW’s Stormwater Management Division at 410-313-0844 or email mmonde@howardcountymd.gov. Please note, this community outreach meeting is not a Howard County Library System event; do not call the Elkridge Branch if you have questions about the meeting.

An interpreter for people who are deaf or hard of hearing will be available if requested seven working days prior to the meeting. Please call DPW at 410-313-3440 (voice) or use Relay at 7-1-1, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
