ELLICOTT CITY – Today, Howard County Executive Calvin Ball announced that the County has been honored with the “Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award” (AEP) by the National Procurement Institute (NPI) for the 11th consecutive year. The award is earned by agencies that demonstrate a commitment to procurement excellence. This annual program recognizes procurement organizations that embrace Innovation, Professionalism, Productivity, Leadership and e-Procurement.

“Once again, our Office of Purchasing is recognized as one of the best in the nation for their work to serve the residents and businesses of Howard County,” said Ball. “I want to thank each and every member of our team for their efforts to support our operations with integrity, transparency, and innovation. Your support is also critical to expanding opportunity for all.”

“Our dedicated staff continue to meet the highest standard of professionalism and service. We are always proud to receive the recognition of our peers and we will continue to effectively and efficiently serve the people of Howard County,” said Howard County Purchasing Administrator Dean Hof.
