Howard County police are investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision that occurred this morning (March 26) in Ellicott City.
At approximately 7:25 a.m., a 2017 Dodge Caravan was traveling westbound on the exit ramp for Route 104 from Route 100 when, for an unknown reason, it left the roadway and struck several trees.
Victor Michael Collier, 44, of Deale, was pronounced dead at Howard County General Hospital following transport.
Two juvenile passengers were not injured.
Police are investigating whether the driver may have had a medical emergency prior to the collision; the investigation is ongoing. The ramp from westbound Route 100 to Route 104 was closed for approximately three hours.
