UPDATE (Dec. 6): Critical missing person Mohammed Halawa was located deceased in a wooded area by a search team at approximately 10:30 this morning. There are no indications of foul play.

The large first responder presence in the neighborhoods and woods along Trotter Road, South Wind Circle and Middle Patuxent Environmental Area in Clarksville yesterday and this morning was part of the extensive search for his whereabouts.

ORIGINAL RELEASE: Howard County police are asking for the public's help to locate a critical missing person from Clarksville.

Mohammed Halawa, 26, was last seen leaving his residence in the 5900 block of Trotter Road at approximately 12:00 p.m. on foot.

Family members and police are concerned for his welfare due to health concerns and freezing temperatures. Halawa is without critical medication and is not dressed for the weather. He does not have a cell phone with him.

Halawa is described as a white male with dark hair and eyes. He was last seen wearing dark sweatpants, a dark green jacket with a white tee shirt underneath, and red flip flops.

Anyone who sees Halawa should call 911.
