Howard County police have arrested a suspect in a fatal stabbing that occurred overnight in Columbia. Donavan Townsend, 23, is currently in the booking process.
Police were called to the 7600 block of Woodpark Lane at approximately 1:40 a.m. for a reported stabbing inside an apartment. Responding officers located resident Jaelon Minor, 25, who was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
Through preliminary investigation police learned that the victim had been in an altercation with roommate Townsend, who stabbed him and fled the immediate area. Police quickly located Townsend and arrested him.
