The public meeting will be Monday, August 2nd

ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County Government will be hosting a public meeting on Ellicott City flood mitigation projects on Monday, August 2nd from 6:00-7:30 p.m. County officials will provide a progress update on the Ellicott City Safe and Sound plan, as well as other projects taking place in Ellicott City. The meeting will be held in-person in the Banneker Room at the George Howard Building in Ellicott City, and the presentation will be live streamed on the County Council’s website. Project-specific stations will not be live streamed but meeting materials and information will be posted to the EC Safe and Sound Website following the meeting. If residents cannot attend in person but have specific questions, please email [email protected].

I am encouraged by the progress we have made, and I know there is still much more work to do on our flood mitigation projects as well as continuing support for our town holistically to ensure its continued success. We’re grateful for the continued engagement and collaboration from our residents as we work through the Ellicott City Safe & Sound plan. This year has been especially trying on our businesses in Ellicott City, and we will continue to provide support to ensure our town will thrive for years to come.
