Adult Immunizations
Select immunizations (see list below) are available to uninsured or under-insured (i.e. insurance policy does not cover the cost of vaccination) individuals 19 years and older. Immunizations are scheduled by appointment only at the Columbia Health Center. Call 410-313-7500 for more information and to make an appointment.
AVAILABLE JANUARY 2026: EXPANDED ADULT IMMUNIZATIONS AT NO COST TO ELIGIBLE INDIVIDUALS
The Howard County Health Department offers an expanded list of FREE immunizations to uninsured adults under the new Maryland Vaccine Program. Read the full press release here.
Among the new vaccines offered are several that are especially important during respiratory infection season:
- COVID-19 - recommended for all adults 18 years and older
- Pneumococcal - recommended for all adults 50 years and older, and for younger patients with increased risk
- RSV
- recommended for all adults 75 and older, and for ages 50-74 with increased risk
- recommended for pregnant individuals in weeks 32-36 of gestation between September 1 and January 31

*High-dose flu vaccine is available for anyone 65 years or older as a walk-up encounter (no appointment necessary) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
