About
This workgroup focuses on addressing social and environmental factors that affect health, particularly for Medicaid-insured and uninsured residents facing barriers related to social determinants of health. Its scope includes assessing health disparities, evaluating local social service capacity, and examining awareness of and access to community resources. Based on this assessment, the workgroup will develop targeted recommendations for the Howard County Executive to improve health equity and address identified non-clinical barriers impacting health outcomes.
