This workgroup focuses on ensuring that Howard County’s healthcare workforce is sufficient, sustainable, and supported. Its scope includes evaluating workforce capacity and demand, recruitment and retention challenges, and workforce well-being. Based on this assessment, the workgroup will develop recommendations for the Howard County Executive to strengthen the health workforce, improve sustainability, and reduce burnout across healthcare and related service roles.

Responsibilities
This workgroup evaluates the strength and sustainability of Howard County’s healthcare workforce. Members assess workforce capacity, recruitment and retention challenges, and employee well-being, and recommend initiatives to support workforce resilience, reduce burnout, and ensure long-term system stability.
