The Office on Aging and Independence (OAI) Showcase is an annual event that brings together community members, service providers, and local organizations to highlight the wide range of programs, resources, and supports available to older adults, caregivers, and individuals with disabilities in Howard County. Attendees can explore exhibitor booths, attend educational presentations, participate in interactive activities, and connect with experts in aging, health, and wellness. The Showcase is a celebration of community, inclusion, and healthy aging—empowering residents with the tools and information they need to live their best lives.

OAI Showcase History
Thank you to all who attended the OAI Showcase: The Art of Healthy Aging this year. Special thanks to all of our exhibitors, presenters, performers, and sponsors who helped make this event a success!
Highlights from the event:
- Over 600 attendees
- 15 exhibitors
- 11 different free health screenings offered
- Over 70 quilt squares decorated to be featured in the community quilt project
- Art display in the Mall featuring 50+ artists through the month of May
Our 2024 OAI Showcase: Creating Community. Cultivating Connections took place at the East Columbia 50+ Center and featured a keynote speaker on social connection, a wide array of exhibitor booths, and engaging programs to get a taste of what the Office on Aging and Independence has to offer.
