ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County construction project to stabilize the public water and sewer lines at a stream crossing approximately 260 feet north of 9650 Basket Ring Road in the Village of Long Reach in Columbia, is expected to begin on or about Tuesday, January 4th. To protect the existing eight-inch water and sewer lines exposed in the stream, pipe stabilization and protection structures will be installed. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late January.

Signs have been posted near the project area to advise pedestrians of the project. The project is not expected to impact the flow of traffic; however, a portion of the pedestrian path south of the work site will be closed for the duration of the project.
