ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Seeking displays of holiday spirit this season, Howard County Executive Calvin Ball today launched the 2025 “HoCo Holiday Lights” map for residents and visitors to share the most festive residential and commercial holiday light displays in the county. Since the map was created in 2021, hundreds of decorators from Columbia and Elkridge to Ellicott City and Hanover to Savage to Woodstock have registered to share their seasonal decorations.
For the fifth year in a row, together we can feel the joy of the holidays and delight in the festive holiday lights, as we walk or drive around our neighborhoods with our loved ones. This interactive map guides residents and visitors to the best locations lit up in celebration. I encourage you to plan a family outing with a route around Howard County to tour the glowing lights. If you want to share your own decorations, I hope you sign up today.
To follow a bright path of lights, the publicly-driven website will feature displays across the county as residents and owners register their homes and businesses. Throughout the holiday season, each listing tracks the location and description of the display, display dates and hours, photos, and any special instructions for that location. Visitors can create a personalized map of holiday lights through Howard County and/or search for holiday displays by city, zip code or key word. Check back often for the latest information as neighbors add their displays to the database throughout the season.
Our festive neighbors wanting to share their display are encouraged to register as early as possible. To put your home, business, or community holiday lights display on the map, fill out an online registration.
