ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County construction project to repair the Tributary to Cattail Creek culvert under Ed Warfield Road near 16460/16475 Ed Warfield Road in Woodbine, is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, October 13th. The project includes cleaning debris and repairing deteriorated areas of the culvert, which will increase the service life of the structure and promote safety for the traveling public. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by the end of October 2025.

Signs will be posted to alert motorists and residents of the construction. Flagging operations will be in place to direct traffic through the work zone during the mobilization of the concrete repair equipment. Temporary lane closures can also be expected during the construction hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

While the County and its transportation partners work hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones, drivers are reminded to stay alert and look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. Please slow down and don’t follow too closely when traveling through a work zone. Remember, work zone safety is in your hands.
