ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County construction project to install a roundabout at the intersection of Old Montgomery Road and Tamar Drive in the Village of Long Reach near Jeffers Hill Elementary School in Columbia, is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, September 12th. The roundabout will be constructed within the roadway’s existing curb lines, with improvements to the pedestrian crossings and bikeways. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late November 2022.

Signs and flagging operations will be in place to direct traffic as needed during construction hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., as lane shifts and temporary lane closures are expected. A temporary pedestrian detour will also be provided.
