ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County construction project to improve eroding stream banks between 4886 and 4920 Wharff Lane in Ellicott City, is expected to begin on or about Thursday, September 1st. The roadway culvert outfall and the outfall tributary to the Patapsco River along both sides of the roadway will be stabilized to improve stream channels and steep slopes. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late January 2023.

While the project is not expected to impact traffic flow, signs have been posted near the project area to advise motorists and pedestrians of the construction.

The project is partially funded through the County’s Watershed Protection and Restoration Fund.
