ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County project to construct a 2.5-million-gallon elevated water storage tank near 8490 Chase Ridge Road in Jessup, is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, August 8th. The new tank will stabilize pressures in the County’s 400 water pressure zone, as well as meet the future water needs of the area. The project will also include the installation of an approximately 450 linear feet of 16-inch water main, a driveway, stormwater management and drainage piping, and associated site improvements. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by mid-July 2024.
The project is not expected to impact the flow of traffic in the area; however, signs will be posted to inform residents of the project.
