ELLICOTT CITY, MD – The Howard County Department of Public Works (DPW) Bureau of Engineering’s Transportation & Special Projects Division will hold a community outreach meeting on Wednesday, August 6th from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria at Hanover Hills Elementary School, to discuss a project to make improvements at the intersection of Hanover Road and Hi-Tech Drive in Hanover.

The proposed project will realign the horizontal and vertical curve to improve the sight distance and overall function of the intersection at Hanover Road and Hi-Tech Drive, by shifting the Hi-Tech Drive alignment, installing new curb and gutter, storm drain system improvements, and stormwater management facilities. The project is currently in the design phase.

While there will be no formal presentation, the meeting will include a display of the design plans and DPW staff will be on hand to explain the proposed work, answer any questions, and gather public comments.

Those unable to attend the meeting who would like to view the plans and/or have questions, should contact Megan Nolan with DPW at 410-313-5398 or email mnolan@howardcountymd.gov.

An interpreter for people who are deaf or hard of hearing will be available if requested seven working days prior to the meeting. Please call DPW at 410-313-3440 (voice) or use Relay at 7-1-1, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
