ELLICOTT CITY, MD – The Howard County Department of Public Works’ (DPW) Bureau of Highways’ Traffic Engineering Division will hold a second community outreach virtually on June 24, 2025, from 5:00 to 5:45 p.m. via a Webex meeting (passcode is "traffic") to present traffic calming plans for Dorchester Way. The project will implement strategies available in the County’s recently updated Howard County Neighborhood Traffic Calming Policy, to combat excessive vehicular speeds along Dorchester Way.
At the virtual meeting, DPW staff will be online to discuss the finalized traffic calming design and anticipated construction schedule.
The updated plans and anticipated implementation will be posted to the Traffic Calming website after the meeting.
Residents can send in questions and comments after the meeting to the DPW Traffic Engineering Division (naidoo@howardcountymd.gov) until July 1, 2025.
