ELLICOTT CITY, MD – The Howard County Human Rights Commission is now seeking nominations for its 2022 Jim Henson and Jean Toomer Individual, the Dr. Murray Simon Student, and the Colette Roberts Organization awards. Presented annually, these awards honor individuals and community organizations who have made significant contributions to human and civil rights in Howard County. The nomination deadline is August 14, 2022.

These awards celebrate courageous Howard County residents and organizations that serve our community through their tireless pursuit of advancing and defending human rights. We're looking to our residents to help us identify those in our community who have gone above and beyond and deserve to be recognized by the Howard County Human Rights Commission this year.
