ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County Department of Public Works’ (DPW) Bureau of Highways’ Traffic Engineering Division will hold a community outreach open house on Wednesday, June 17th from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., at Kings Contrivance Community Association’s Amherst House, to discuss the proposed construction of a mini single-lane roundabout at the intersection of Old Columbia Road and Guilford Road in Columbia. The proposed project aims to improve traffic operations and safety at the intersection.
The informal open house will include an overview of the proposed project and an opportunity for residents to ask questions and provide feedback. DPW staff will be on hand to address questions and gather public comments.
Those unable to attend the open house who would like to view the plans and/or have questions or comments about the proposed project, should email DPW’s Traffic Engineering Division Project Manager Erjon Rembeci at erembeci@howardcountymd.gov. All emails should be submitted to Rembeci by no later than June 30, 2026.
